Learning objectives
The training objectives of the Animal Husbandry traineeship cover the different aspects of the Dublin indicators, with particular reference, being the practical activity carried out at the 5th year of the course, then at the end of the theoretical activities, on the second indicator (applying knowledge and understanding), the third (making judgments) and the fourth (communication skills).

Course unit content
The traineeship in Animal Husbandry and Nutrition is an external practical activity, practiced in structures, Italian or foreign, specially arranged according to the University procedures, chosen by the student on the basis of their own interests. These structures are represented by ASL (public veterinary services, area C – hygiene of livestock and zootechnical productions), by herds, by feed industries, by wildlife recovery facilities (CRAS) or by free-lance veterinarians, with a professional activity mainly oriented to zootechnical problems (wellness, nutrition, reproduction). On the basis of these premises, there is no a reference program, as the activities are diversified on the basis of the structures to which the student accesses.

Teaching methods
The activity of training in the animal husbandry field is carried out entirely outside the university structures, in specially established public or private structures, according to the University procedures. Teaching is provided by the company tutor, graduate in Veterinary Medicine, and assessed at the end of the period by the academic tutor, on the basis of a report by the company tutor and the attendance check.
Assessment methods and criteria
Learning verification systems are not provided. The credits are credited on the basis of the certified attendance and the judgment of the company tutor.
