Preliminary course on very elementary mathematical tools: elementary algebra; sine, cosine; lines in the coordinate plane; rational powers. <!--EndFragment-->
Course unit content
Arithmetics and algebra: mappings between sets, real numbers and inequalities, first- and second-order equations and inequalities, linear systems, systems of equations or inequalities.<span style=""> </span>
<p class="MsoPlainText">Geometry and trigonometry: coordinates, angles, distance, lines and circles, elements of trigonometry, simple trigonometric equations and inequalities. </p>
<p class="MsoPlainText">Real functions of one real variable: limits and qualitative properties, polynomials and rational functions, powers, exponentials and logarithms with their properties.<span style=""> </span></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText">Derivatives, integrals, differential equations: basic concepts and some applications. </p>
