Average calculation

The weighted graduation average is calculated by multiplying each grade by the number of ECTS credits of the corresponding examination; the sum of the values obtained is divided by the total number of ECTS credits earned in the graded activities, according to the classic formula:
(grade1x ECTS credits1)+(grade2x ECTS credits2)+(grade3 x ECTS credits3)+ ... / ECTS credits1+ECTS credits2+ECTS credits3 + .....
In the event of a transfer or change of course, if the last change of course took place from the 2007/2008 academic year onwards, the weighted average is calculated using the classic formula indicated above, weighing the examinations from the previous career not with the ECTS credits with which they were passed, but with the ECTS credits that were useful for recognition.
If the last change of course took place within the 2006/07 academic year inclusive, the calculation is instead as follows :
( m1*ECTS1 + m2*ECTS2 ) / ECTStot where m1 = arithmetic mean of the marks for examinations in the previous career that are useful for recognition ECTS1 = sum of ECTS credits recognised in the current career m2 = weighted mean (classic formula) of the examinations passed in the current career ECTS2 = sum of ECTS credits of the examinations passed in the current career ECTStot = ECTS1 + ECTS2
