THE CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM. Major aspects. The pumping function of the heart. Cardiac output Blood vessels and pressure.

THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM.
Major aspects. The airways. The lungs. Ventilation. Gas Exchange. Transport of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood. Regulation of respiration.

PHYSIOLOGY OF MUSCLE .Structures of skeletal muscles and skeletal muscle cells.Motor unit.Contraction mechanism. Isotonic and isometric contraction. Control of contraction. Mechanical properties of skeletal muscles. Smooth muscle: major aspects.

PHYSIOLOGY OF EXERCISE: major aspects.
