Knowledge of the fundamentals of organic chemistry, with particular attention to the chemistry of natural organic compounds.

Course unit content

Electronic structure of e carbon, nitrogen and oxygen atoms.  Different hybridation states of the carbon atom. Chemical bonds of carbon atom. Structure  chemical physical properties and reactivity of Hydrocarbons, Alcohols, Aldheydes, Ketons, Carboxylic acids, amines, Aromatic compounds  and Derivatives of carboxylic acids ( Anhydrides, Esters, amides). Stereochemistry. Electronic Resonance.
