Learning objectives
The course does not require the knowledge of Lithuanian language. Its main purpose is to provide the students with a basic knowledge of this language, which could be of particular use to those interested to a studying period in Lithuania within the framework of the European Union programmes. During the description of the morphological and syntactic aspects, the archaic features of the Lithuanian language, which is the most conservative modern Indo-European language and in many aspects similar to Latin, will be stressed.
