Course presentation

The course aims to provide students with a thorough knowledge of two European foreign languages, as well as of the cultural heritage of the civilisations of which they are an expression, and a good proficiency in a third language.

The course in brief

The field of foreign languages, literatures and cultures is at the core of the knowledge and skills that the course aims to provide students with; this thematic core is consolidated by the acquisition of knowledge and skills to be matured in the fields of Italian literature, general linguistics, sociology, history, philosophy and other disciplines.

The course also provides for the possibility of further customising the individual programme of study through the inclusion of free-choice ECTS credits.
Great importance is attributed to internship and study experiences abroad, for which the course has numerous agreements and exchange programmes in place.

The professional outlets envisaged for the course concern the publishing sector, translation, cultural institutions and services, trade, diplomatic and consular representations, tourism and intermediation between European and non-European cultures. In addition, graduates of the course will have gained a suitable preparation for attending Second-cycle degree courses, also aimed at training language teachers in schools of various grades.
