Learning objectives
The students must acquire knowledge and understanding about the therapeutic protocols for patients animals and for critically ill animals in intensive care. They should be able to understand the disease and the clinical condition of the animal and discuss the correct therapeutic protocol, applying knowledge and understanding, showing professional skills and being able to make judgements. Students must show communication and learning skills.

Assessment methods and criteria
Practical examination : students will be asked to demonstrate that they have reached a good level of knowledge and understanding in discussing a clinical case. Students must be able to apply their knowledge and comprehension capacities, showing a professional approach to their work. They should have adequate skills in discussion of their ideas and in problems' solving. Students must be able to collect and discuss data, in order to develop their own independent judgements.
