Learning objectives
The course is aimed at teaching knowledge and understanding of the basics of the market economy and of livestock production, agro-food economics and agronomy. The student will also learn to apply the acquired knowledge and understanding in identifying and solving the problems of business management in relation to the policies of the EU and to food security.

The livestock under the national and European level. Fundamentals of economic theory. Market for agricultural products. The company and the company. The economic balance of the farm. Economics of production. The organization of producers. Tax reform in agriculture. The sources of statistical information in agriculture. Consumer, business and market. Components of the food system. Public intervention. EU policies for agriculture, rural development, food security and the environment.
The agricultural soil: physical, chemical and biological.
The agricultural techniques: tillage, fertilization, fertilization laws.

The achievement of the course objectives is assessed with an oral examination. Through questions about the course contents it will be determined whether the student has achieved the goal of knowledge and understanding of the contents.
