Learning objectives
Learning Arabic as a foreign language is a lifelong process. Therefore the aim of this course is the one of providing students the basics of the language and tools to approach more advanced courses in the future, in Europe or abroad.

Course unit content
Arabic alphabet will be studied and analysed in detail, in order to learn the right “behaviour” and pronunciation of each letter. At the end students will be able to read Arabic words (with vowels) and understand simple Modern Standard Arabic texts. Grammar will also be studied in depth: names (with the three cases), pronouns, prepositions (and the most common complements) adjectives (attributes), nominal clause, and some frequently used verbs will be among the topics.
At the same time students will learn basic spoken M.S.A., so that they can hold simple conversations.
