Learning objectives
Purpose of the course is to provide students technical and cultural tools necessary to the resolution of the most frequent problems of different textual translation.
Upon completion of this course the student will have acquired:
the intermediate language knowledge, until reaching the level B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Develop the translation strategies to deal with methodological rigor various types of texts.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of Spanish language level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Course unit content
The course aims to provide basic knowledge of the grammar of the Spanish language (phonology and morphology) and analysis and exercises based on texts and in preparation for the translation.
Phonetic and phonological system Spanish
The noun and its components. Nouns, adjectives, pronouns, determiners. Gender and number.
The verbal phrase. Regular and irregular conjugation.
Specialities of the Spanish verbal phrase; Ser/estar; hay/está, etc.

Teaching methods
The course will take place through lectures and practical exercises in the classroom. The course also includes a cycle of 12 hours of self-study to hang out in the language lab located in Viale San Michele Plexus 9 with selected materials by teachers of Spanish.
Assessment methods and criteria
The test involves an assessment with final exams written and oral language.
Final tests are divided into:
Written examination
grammar test according to grammar topics treated during the year. This test is a prerequisite to the oral.
Oral examination
The student must be able to understand the texts, authors and formal issues related to linguistic phenomenon. The questions have as objective verify knowledge of the topics covered as well as the ability to apply it.
A part of the examination takes place in Spanish in order to verify oral competence corresponding to level B1. For the oral, the failure threshold is determined by lack of knowledge of the contents, a result of incorrect use of specific language from a logical rigour and free and inability to speak in a Spanish that corresponds to level B1 The threshold sufficient (18-23/30) is determined by a partial knowledge of the contents and a minimum capacity of application and/or reprocessing of the waste and the demonstration of owning a linguistic level with characteristic features of level B2. An evaluation between 24-27/30 and 26-27/30 can be reached thanks to a decent/good knowledge of content, demonstrating implementation capacity, position articulated and appropriate use of language. The higher threshold (from 28/30 to 30/30 e lode) is obtained when proves to possess a good knowledge of content, autonomous application, original and creative.

Language exercises will take place during both semesters.
