Learning objectives

give to the student the basic criteria for reading a x-ray film; general principles of ultrasonography, CT, RMN, scintigraphy and their applications.

Course unit content

Traditional radiology: positive and negative contrast medium; Diseases of the thorax, abdomen, spine (mielography), metabolic diseases of the bone, skeletal diseases of the thoracic and pelvic limb. Ultrasonography: physical principles; ultrasound examination of the abdomen. Scintigraphy, Computed tomography (CT), Magnetic resonance (MR): physical principles, applications.
