Course presentation
The degree course in Artistic, Library's and Performing Arts Heritage is dedicated to cultural heritage - a mosaic of both tangible and intangible cultural and creative expressions - to its protection and enhancement. It is therefore divided into three curricula aimed at the main areas of cultural heritage to which we are dedicated, figurative arts, books, and performing arts, so that students can deepen their interests without losing their cross-curricular and interdisciplinary training. Many disciplines common to the three addresses facilitate the transition from one to the other even after the first year of classes. The course is in fact characterised by basic disciplines (Italian language and literature, historical disciplines, ancient and medieval civilisations and geographical disciplines) that guarantee the overall reference framework thanks to which the student is put in a position to tackle the study of the characterising disciplines: the history of art from the medieval age to the contemporary, the history of entertainment, cinema, music and publishing production.
The articulated coverage of competences provided by these characterising disciplines is then complemented by other teachings whose aim is to introduce the student to issues related to the management, conservation and promotion of cultural heritage, from Legislation to the Conservation of Cultural Heritage.
An important phase of the training course is the curricular internship, which will be the moment of verification in the world of work of the knowledge and skills acquired in the course of studies. Experience abroad is also encouraged by the possibility of obtaining language proficiency from the first year.
Graduates will be able to work in public and private institutions responsible for the preservation, protection and enhancement of cultural heritage, the organization of exhibitions, conferences and territorial knowledge tours. Graduates will also be able to work in the fields of management and enhancement of the performing arts.
Teaching is also delivered using a 'blended' methodology, i.e. integrating classroom presence with 'distance' tools. Specifically, the course enhances a specially developed technological environment for the delivery of e-learning content and the management of teaching activities both 'in synchrony' with traditional lessons and in deferred mode.
The training is carried out in the classroom to the extent of 100 per cent of the total number of hours and, at the same time, in e-learning mode to the extent of no less than 30 per cent of the total number of hours; it also makes use of a technological and disciplinary tutoring service.
