Registration for examination

Students are required to use the University's IT procedures to register for profit examinations (sessions).

To access the ESSE3 system,

  • use your University credentials;
  • once authenticated, in the EXAMINATIONS section you will be shown all the sessions of the course units in your programme of study for which you have not yet passed the exam;
  • the ESSE3 system distinguishes between SESSIONS (verbalising exams) and PROVE PARZIALI (non-verbalising exams), corresponding to 2 different items in the menu.

Important: it is only possible to register for examinations for a given course unit if the programme of study is approved; for plans submitted online, approval is automatic. Furthermore, the ESSE3 system does not allow registration for examinations if the teaching evaluation questionnaire for the chosen course unit has not been completed online beforehand.

Registration is normally allowed in the period between 20 and 4 days before each session date. Any changes to the examination date or time will be automatically notified by e-mail.

Further information, guides and tutorials on the use of the platform are available on the appropriate web page of the University website.

Freshmen may find it useful to consult the FAQs published on the University's website, which explain some aspects of the online recording of examinations.

Student opinion survey questionnaires (OPIS)

The survey of students' opinions is implemented by means of the 'Student Opinion Survey Questionnaires (OPIS)' and is an indispensable element to enable the improvement of teachingquality and organisation of study courses.

A short (90-second) information video is available at the following LINK Youtube.

The Questionnaire must be completed by the student at the end of the class cycle of each course unit.

For students who have not previously taken the assessment, the ESSE3 IT system requires mandatory completion of the questionnaires when registering for the examination.
