Learning objectives

The aim of this course is to give to students the basis for a correct management of the milking phase.
Knowledge of main building techniques of stables, barns and horse training facilities. Knowledge of law and rules regarding safety in animal breeding and transportation. Be able to project a breeding facility according to animal type and employment.

Machine milking: operating principles, management and effects on udder health and milk quality
Housing environment. Husbandry and housing technologies. Breeding facilities in accordance to production goals. Safety in animal breeding, housing and transportation.
