A good knowledge of the history of modern philosophy from Descarte to Kant
Course unit content
The course will present the Fichtian philosophy of the absolute, according to the formulation he offers of it in the Berlin lectures of "Doctrine of Science 1804. 2nd Exposition." The course of Fichtian philosophy from 1794 to 1804 will be presented, going through its main stages, and reference will be made to the historical-philosophical context in which this maturation takes place.

Assessment methods and criteria
The examination consists of an oral test in which the student must demonstrate knowledge of the themes and authors covered, as well as their historical environment from a thorough knowledge of the texts read and commented on in class. The oral test may be accompanied by a written paper.
