Learning objectives

The online English course aims to provide students with the tools to understand texts in English, both written and oral, inherent to the course of study for updating and deepening their professional knowledge.

Prerequisites

B1 level is a prerequisite

Course unit content

The course proposes terms related to the medical field through a variety of written and oral material. Each input (content, vocabulary or grammar) is followed by a short interactive test in the form of a quiz. Moving to the next section of the program requires achieving a minimum score in the quiz. In addition to the content of the texts and the revision of some of the linguistic functions and grammatical structures, the acquisition of the specific terms of the topic is considered particularly important. The course includes a 'basic' module and an additional module specific to the profession.

Full programme

The topics covered in the basic module are: the body, common ailments, public health, hospital procedures, medical and health personnel, first aid and emergencies, therapies, medicines and hygiene, medical records. The additional material will cover the essential physiotherapist terminology and glossary
