Corso di Physiotherapy - Università degli Studi di Parma

You will be able to count on historically consolidated training expertise, thanks to a field of study that has its origins in 1973 with the establishment in Parma of the Special School for Rehabilitation Physiotherapy Technicians, later transformed into a University Diploma and, finally, into a Degree Course in 2002. What awaits you is a course with a high level of teaching, both theoretical and practical, in a setting of modern facilities and a close relationship with teaching staff, tutors and guides. Thanks to the extensive network of agreements with both public and private healthcare facilities in the area, you will have the opportunity to attend internships in numerous specialist settings that will represent future job opportunities. You will be able to use studios equipped with treatment couches and rehabilitation equipment for simulations and classrooms for full-group teaching. The course is enriched by Elective Teaching Activities: Maitland Approach, Cognitive Therapeutic Exercise, Principles of the Neuromuscular Proprioceptive Facilitation Approach, Principles of the Bobath Approach, Supporting Physiotherapists and Patients through Motivational Counselling, Research Methodology, Rehabilitating Burn Patients, Visceral Rehabilitation, Posture and Rehabilitation, Gait Analysis: from Theory to Application in Clinical Practice, Methodology and Clinical Reasoning in Manual Therapy. You can also take advantage of traineeships before and after graduation, both in Italy and abroad, with the Erasmus+ and Overworld programmes.

"Student Reporting Desk" - the Joint Student-Teacher Commission (Commissione Paritetica Docenti Studenti - CPDS)

The Joint Student-Teacher Commission (Commissione Paritetica Docenti Studenti - CPDS) is active within the Department of Medicine and Surgery. This Commission, composed of an equal number of faculty members and student representatives from the study programs within the Department of Medicine & Surgery (Dipartimento di Medicina e Chirurgia – DIMEC), serves as a permanent observatory of educational activities, monitoring the curriculum, teaching quality, and support services. It plays an independent evaluation role and operates throughout the year to provide a listening channel for students and collect any reports or concerns.

In this regard, we remind you that the CPDS of the Department of Medicine and Surgery has activated the "Student Reporting Desk" (Sportello segnalazioni studenti) on the department's website: Commissione Paritetica Docenti-Studenti | Dipartimento di Medicina e Chirurgia. Through this platform, you can report any issues or irregularities encountered in your study path or submit suggestions simply by sending an email to one of the student representatives of the CPDS. Their names and email addresses can be found on the following page Commissione Paritetica Docenti-Studenti | Dipartimento di Medicina e Chirurgia.

The "Student Reporting Desk" is an important tool for promoting student engagement in the process of improving teaching quality, as beneficiaries of educational programs and support services. We therefore encourage you to use it by reporting any critical issues to the student representatives of the CPDS. All reports will be handled with the utmost confidentiality.
