Requirements for admission to the degree examination

as per Degree Course Regulation

22.1 The aim of the Final Examination is to assess the achievement of the competences expected of a graduating student as expressed by the Dublin Descriptors and the RAD framework of each degree course). In accordance with the Bologna Process and the subsequent harmonisation documents for European educational pathways, the following areas are assessed in the final examination:

• Applying knowledge and understanding,
• Making judgements,
• Communication skills,
• Learning skills, which correspond to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Dublin descriptors respectively

Therefore, the final qualification is awarded to students who are able to:

• apply their knowledge by demonstrating a professional approach and appropriate skills to solve problems in their field of study;
• make decisions to effectively solve complex problems/situations in their field of study;
• collect and interpret data to make autonomous professional judgements, including on social, scientific or ethical issues;
• engage in effective communication on clinical, social, scientific or ethical issues relevant to their profile;
• learn independently.
 
22.2 There is a single final examination, which consists of two different assessment stages:

• the Practical Test.
• the drafting of a thesis and dissertation on the same.
 
FOR THE APRIL 2022 SESSION, ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR THE APPLICATION FOR GRADUATION WILL BE POSSIBLE FROM THE FIRST OF FEBRUARY

Rules for accessing the examination

Dear graduating students,
graduating sessions are held in person, in compliance with the safety conditions in force:

The form for requesting course-unit or degree examinations in remote mode is available on the University of Parma website:

It will be peremptorily forbidden to:

  • create gatherings inside the building and also outside it.
  • bring food and drinks, even if consumed outside the classroom.

 

 

Enrolment under degree conditions students

Student enrolled in the AY 2016-2017 who intend to graduate by the extraordinary session are not required to pay the enrolment fee for the AY 2017-2018 but will not be able to apply for any enrolment certificates.
In the event of payment of enrolment for the AY 2017/2018, a refund of the personalised university contribution (excluding the virtual stamp duty and the regional tax) will be made at the student's request, provided that no certification has been issued for the academic year. 2017/2018.

The student may submit an application for ‘Iscrizione sotto condizione di laurea’(‘Enrolment under degree conditions’) using FORM A19 A19 by 20 October 2017, for the payment of the enrolment fee for 2017-2018.
This application authorises the student to pay the first instalment for enrolment onto AY 2017-2018 by 30 March 2018 without a late payment fee.
Payments made after the above-mentioned dates will result in a late payment fee of EUR 50.
Students with conditional enrolment who wish to apply for a reduction on the amount of university fees and contributions must fill in the application on the ER-GO website www.er-go.it  by 31 October 2017.
