Course unit content

Pulmonary rehabilitation: italian recommendations and features
The respiratory system: anatomy and kinesiology
Secretions in the upper and lower airways: the mucociliary clearance
mechanism
How to misure blood pressare, peripheral oxygen saturation, respiratory
and hear rate
Nasal washings
Airway clearance techniques:
positive expiratory pressure (pursed lips technique, pep mask, pep
valve);
Airway clearance techniques with the expiratory flow: ELTGOL, autogenic
trainate, FET
Cystic fibrosis and non cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis
Field tests: 6 minute walking test, shuttle test, step test, sit to stand chair
test, sppb). Ers/ats guidelines
Exercise training in respiratory patients
The icu patient: Early mobilization in intensive care unit; critical illness
(the patient with covid-19, interstitial lung disease, rheumatological disease and neuromuscular disease)
