Learning objectives

Acquisition of the main methods for orienting the clinical psychological treatments with adolescents and their families. Getting a basic knowledge of psychological consultation and an overview of the different psychotherapeutic settings as well as their combinations and criteria of choice in the clinical psychology of adolescence.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of developmental psychology, psychology and psychopathology of adolescence

Course unit content

The course will propose a study of the clinical psychology of adolescence and will extend its analysis to other complementary disciplines. It will then deal with the methods and the settings characterizing the psychological treatment with adolescents and their families.
In particular we will deal with the psychological consultation and the main settings of psychotherapy in the clinical psychological work with adolescents and their families.

Full programme

Outlines of general theory of adolescence, theory of development and psychopathology in adolescence.
Outlines of epistemology and checking of the theory.
The psychological consultation: goals, actors, methods, process and results.
Main settings of psychotherapy (individual, family, groups) and their combinations.
Collaboration with other operative units (psychopharmacological, etc..).

Teaching methods

Group discussion of proposed stymulus, lessons, videos.

Assessment methods and criteria

In this particular moment and for the dates of may, june and july 2020 we think that the most appropriate form of exam is the written form, adapting the usual shape in this way:
The exam (30’ of time) will consist of 12 multiple choise questions (3 options: -2 - error, 0 – not response or +2 - correct) and 3 open questions with 0-3 points of score each one on examinations books.
In case of 32 points or more the vote will be 30 e lode, in case of 30 or 31 the vote will be 30.
