Course unit partition: INTERNSHIP I YEAR

Learning objectives

The student during the first semester is guided by the supervisor in the observation of normal movement patterns in the child, in the adult and in the elderly, identifying their characteristics which were learnt during the theoretical lessons.
During the second semester the student will be introduced to all the patient handling, positioning and postural techniques. Furthermore the classic massage techniques and the usage of electro therapies machines are taught.

Course unit content

To learn the ability to observe the motor behaviour of the baby, of the adult and of the senior.-To learn to carry out the correct handling to move the patient and the ability to do a safe transfer. -To learn the therapeutic massage and to utilize the physical agents.
