Learning objectives
STUDENTS SHOULD ACQUIRE THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE FUNCTIONAL MECHANISMS OF MAIN PSYCHOLOGICAL PROCESSES UNDERLYING HUMAN BEHAVIOUR AND INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS, SUCH AS ATTENTION, LEARNING, MEMORY, EMOTION AND VERBAL AND NON VERBAL COMMUNICATION.
MOREOVER STUDENTS SHOULD ACQUIRE THE CAPACITY TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE FOR UNDERSTANDING HUMAN BEHAVIOUR. THEY SHOULD ACQUIRE THE CAPACITY OF DEEPENING AND UPDATING THE ARGUMENTS.

Teaching methods
THE FIRST LECTURE INTENDS TO PROVIDE KNOWLEDGE AND TOOLS NECESSARY TO BETTER UNDESTAND TOPICS OF THE NEXT LECTURES. THEN SOME BASIC COGNITIVE FUNCTIONS AND EMOTIONS WILL BE TREATED. PARTICULAR ATTENTION WILL BE PAID TO PROCESSES THAT SUPPORT THE INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Assessment methods and criteria
A WRITTEN EXAM WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE IF STUDENTS HAVE MET THE GOALS OF THIS COURSE. THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE GENERAL PRINCIPLES OF THE MENTAL FUNCTIONS WITH SPECIFIC REFERENCE TO ATTENTION, LEARNING, MEMORY AND EMOTION WILL BE TESTED. THE CAPACITY OF STUDENTS TO MAKE CONNECTIONS AMONG THESE PRINCIPLES AND HUMAN BEHAVIOUR WILL BE TESTED AS WELL.
