Transfers and course transitions

A student enrolled at another university who wishes to study at our university or who is enrolled at this university and wishes to study elsewhere may apply for a transfer. In the former instance, this is an incoming transfer, in the latter it is an outgoing transfer.
If the student is enrolled at this university, but wishes to change degree course, he/she may apply for a course transition.
Students who enrolled on a given academic year may, by the deadline of the second instalment of fees and without charge, request for the option to change to another degree course. After that date, the option is no longer permitted and it is necessary to apply for a change of course (transition).

Criteria for transfers and transitions

Applications for transitions and transfers from other university locations of the Midwifery degree course may be submitted each year between 1 July to 25 August, according to specific procedures published in a special notice on the course web page. Applications are approved by the Course Council, after consulting the Teaching Committee (CD). The number of scheduled places available is also taken into account. Enrolment in years subsequent to the first year, following the procedures for the recognition of credits by the university of destination, may only take place within the limit of the places made available as a result of withdrawals, transfers and drop-outs from the course year in question, in relation to the places defined in the annual planning decrees.
The student requesting the transfer is required to submit appropriate documentation, including the programme of study of the home institution, the syllabus of the courses, and proof of the ECTS credits obtained. In the case of a transfer request by Italian or foreign students coming from a midwifery degree course at a non-Italian university, the documentation must be accompanied by an official translation; the request cannot be accepted if the documentation is incomplete or non-conforming.
The documentation required for the request is submitted by the student to the Student Registry Office, which, after checking and administrative control (fees, transfers, etc.) will forward the request to the Course President. After assessing the application and identifying the number of credits recognised, and after consulting the Course Council, the Course President authorises the student's regular enrolment in the Course.
Enrolment in a given year is, however, conditional on the availability of places

Availability and modalities for applications for enrolment in years subsequent to the first year

Below are the procedures and deadlines for applying to transfer to years subsequent to the first year of the Degree Course in Midwifery. Please note that the possibility of transfer is subject to the availability of places within the number of seats. The places provided for each year for the A.Y. 2021-2022 are as follows:
YEAR 2: 1 place
YEAR 3: 2 places
Please note that students from foreign universities must submit the original certificates issued by their university of origin and the analytical programmes of the courses attended and examinations taken, accompanied by a certified translation in Italian.
Applications must be sent, within the deadlines published on this webpage, by ordinary post (by registered post with confirmation of receipt) or by submission in person to the Careers and Services for Students office of the Medical Area, Via Volturno 39, 43125 Parma.

  • Modulo di richiesta, debitamente firmato (disponibile sul sito del corso di laurea, sotto la voce Servizi>Modulistica);
  • Programmi analitici degli esami superati di cui si chiede la convalida;
  • Autodichiarazione di carriera pregressa;
