Learning objectives
The course aims at providing the student with an adequate ability in analyzing the problems at stake and in elaborating arguments with regard to these, and at improving his autonomy in judgment and his skills in oral (thanks to the discussion in class) and written (thanks to the redaction of a paper) communication and in learning in this field.

Course unit content
The course will address the issue of the nature of philosophy. More specifically, it will examine some positions regarding this emerged in Twentieth Century: logical empiricism, the philosophy of ordinary language and philosophical naturalism.
