Software

The University of Parma has signed a multi-use licence for the data analysis and scientific graphics software OriginLab. The software is available to both university staff and students, who can install it on their computers.

The University of Parma has also subscribed to a licence for Office 365 ProPlus software reserved for all students enrolled in a First-cycle, Second-cycle or Single-cycle degree course who are up to date with their university fees.

OriginLab software

The University of Parma has signed a multi-use licence for the data analysis and scientific graphics software OriginLab. The software is available to both university staff and students, who can install it on their computers.

In the attached document, you will find instructions for downloading and installation.

The software can be used if you are connected with your computer to the University network. Otherwise, for use outside the University network, a VPN connection must be used via a downloadable client (see the link inside the attachment).

The use of the VPN connection is also necessary when using the Eduroam and UNIPR WiFi connections.

Software MATLAB

From 2018 the University of Parma has signed the Total Academic Headcount License for the use of MATLAB software.
You must login to the portale MATLAB dell’Università di Parma to download the software and activate the license.

The new release 2023a of MATLAB FSDA toolbox is now available. The new features of the toolbox and the instructions for download are described in this file.

Office 365 ProPlus software

As a student of the University of Parma, you can download Microsoft Office 365 at the following link: https://www.office.com

Office 365 ProPlus includes a full version of Office and the classic Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and others. Office 365 ProPlus is a single-user service and allows each student to install on 5 PCs, Macs or tablets (including iPad) and access Office Mobile applications on iPhone and Android phones (Office Mobile applications are included on all Windows phones). Activation is done by entering the credentials used for e-mail and other university services.

If, despite having changed your password, you still have problems logging in, you can open a ticket by sending an e-mail to: helpdesk.informatico@unipr.it

Use of this option is reserved for all students enrolled in a First-cycle, Second-cycle or Single-cycle degree course who are up to date with payment of university fees. Upon graduation or resignation, a student's Office 365 ProPlus membership lapses. It is important to remember to transfer all one's files from OneDrive space before graduation/withdrawal to avoid data loss.
