The first lessons have the goal of providing information on models in bioethics while the subsequent lessons will concern the ethical aspects of greatest interest to nurses and midwives. Bibliography

Lectures will be supported by power-point presentations and literature, which will be provided to the students.

Teaching methods

The course will be carried out with frontal lessons of two hours each in presence (in the classroom) and in telepresence (if necessary) with the support of the Teams platform. In this way, the possibility of interacting in real time with the Teacher both in person and remotely will be preserved.
The lessons will take place with the aid of iconographic material collected in presentations which will be made available to students on the Elly platform (https://elly2024.medicina.unipr.it/). In each meeting one of the topics indicated in the program will be developed . The lesson includes a presentation by the teacher who introduces the topic. The topic is then discussed by illustrating the different interpretative approaches. Students are encouraged to express their opinion and discuss. The aim is to offer an opportunity for information and critical thinking training. At the end of the lesson the teacher summarizes the positions that emerged and recommends further reading

Assessment methods and criteria

The exam is oral and aims to evaluate the bioethical skills acquired, through the presentation of a topic with a request to argue and compare different theses and models, on which a specific in-depth study is carried out.
The evaluation criteria are:
- argumentative ability;
- precision and competence in the language used during the presentation;
- ability to competently and consciously combine arguments to support the thesis.
At the end of the exam the teacher will formulate a judgment expressed in bands:
A. Excellent knowledge and understanding of the topic. High ability of criticism and analysis. Mark out of thirty: 30.
B. Good knowledge and understanding of the topic with some minor inaccuracies. Good critical and analytical skills. Score out of thirty: 27-29.
C. Fair knowledge and understanding of the topic despite some gaps. Critical and analytical skills: 24-26.
D. Fully sufficient knowledge and understanding of the topic even if there are obvious gaps. Score out of thirty: 21-23.
E. Barely sufficient knowledge and understanding of the topic with obvious and serious gaps. Score out of thirty: 18-20.
.
If due to a health emergency it is necessary to adopt the remote mode for exams, we will proceed as follows:
remote oral questions, via the Teams platform (guide http://selma.unipr.it/).
