Learning objectives
At the end of the course the students must have acquired:
Knowledge of relational dynamics present in the family life cycle;
Ability to apply the acquired knowledge
to the profession of social worker;
Ability to gather information on family dynamics andt ell her either users and multidisciplinary teams;
The development of learning skills relating to theoretical and methodological knowledge.
Course unit content
The course will address the theme of the family and its evolution in today's society.
It will deepen the family dynamics that characterize the life cycle
with particular reference to specific areas such as:
separation and divorce;
recomposed families;
the multiproblem family and the intergenerational transmission;
trauma and attachment theory, maltreatment and witnessing violence.

Teaching methods
The annual 54-hour course (9 credits) includes 36 hours of face-to-face lessons and 18 hours of remote lessons.
During the lessons the general problems related to the themes of psychopathology of family relationships will be discussed.
The course will be accompanied by group work, simulations, roleplaying, brainstorming, family genogram,observation of relational psychology in filmic language.
At the beginning of the course, the teacher will take care of verifying the previous knowledge related to the discipline,
accompanying the students to the acquisition of that basic knowledge useful for the purpose of tackling the discipline itself.
Assessment methods and criteria
WRITTEN EXAMINATION WITH OPEN QUESTIONS
The final evaluation will aim to verify:
- the knowledge gained by the student on the topics covered during the course
- the ability to make appropriate connections between the topics covered
The assessment is considered sufficient if the student demonstrates full knowledge of the basic concepts and topics covered in class, as well as a sufficient ability to make connections and reflect on what has been learned.
