Transfers and course transitions

A student enrolled at another university who wishes to come to study at our university, or who is enrolled at this university and wishes to study elsewhere, may apply for a transfer.

If the student is enrolled at this university, but wishes to change degree course, he/she may apply for a change of course The student who enrolled in a given academic year may apply, by the deadline of the second instalment of fees and without any charge, for an application  to another degree course. After that date, application is no longer permitted and it is necessary to apply for a change of course.

Evaluation of previous career

  • Are you a student enrolled in a first-cycle degree course in Social Work at another university who wants to transfer to the corresponding degree course at the University of Parma?
  • Are you a student enrolled in a degree course of a different class but intend to transfer to the first-cycle degree course in Social Work at the University of Parma?
  • Have you already graduated but wish to enrol in the degree course of Social Work offered by the University of Parma?

Do you want to know, approximately, which exams and how many ECTS credits will be validated?

You can find the teaching regulations for the degree course of Social Work corresponding to the various academic years HERE. In principle, keep in mind that:

The Degree Course Committee assesses university studies already completed in Italy and abroad in order to grant recognition, in accordance with the provisions of the teaching regulations.
Students who come from degree courses in Social Work at other universities or from degree courses of different classes, or who are graduates of different classes, and who wish to enrol in the degree course in Social Work may apply for the validation of courses already taken.
The Degree Course Committee determines for each individual application which of the courses may be validated, and the number of ECTS credits that may be deemed to have been acquired, indicating, on the basis of these, the year to which students are admitted and the order of studies they must follow.

Validation of course units

Validation of course units for at least 40 ECTS credits allows enrolment in the second year. Validation of course units for at least 80 ECTS credits allows enrolment in the third year.
Attendance at courses in the years preceding the year of admission may be validated by the Degree Council.
The validation of courses is assessed by the course's didactic commission and it is therefore necessary to document the request by sending the APPLICATION FOR PRIOR EVALUATION OF ECTS CREDITS RECOGNITION to the following e-mail address: commissionedidatticaserviziosociale@unipr.it The teaching regulations can be found in the student guides for the relevant year.
