Learning objectives

The aim of the course is to provide a basic overview of the legal regulation of energy, with the necessary references to the main technical-economic concepts that come to the fore.

Course unit content

The course will cover the following topics: the fundamentals of the discipline: framing the notion of energy and its sources; public service, the environment and sustainable development; the levels of regulation and governance of the energy sector; the energy industrial chain and its discipline; regulation of energy markets; energy transition: the promotion of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency.

Teaching methods

Lessons will be conducted in presence with maximum student involvement. In-depth discussions on specific topics will be held during the course with the contribution of experts in the energy sector.
