Learning objectives

The laboratory intends to foster methodological knowledge related to the use of the focus group as research tools in psychology.
At the end of the course the student will be able to:
- know the procedures for conducting focus groups;
- use the acquired knowledge to plan and create focus groups independently;
- recognize the potential and limitations related to the use of focus groups, and know how to deal with them in a critical and appropriate way with respect to the object of study;
- effectively analyze the data collected through the focus groups.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of qualitative research methods

Course unit content

The course aims to deepen the methodological aspects involved in the use of focus group as a research tools in psychology.
