At the end of the course the student is expected to:

*Elaborate the Hegelian notion of Self-consciousness.
* Understand its practical nature and link this to its theoretical aspects.
* Understand the notion of experience for Hegel.
* Understand the relationship between self-conscious life and social, institutional, historical and political practices.

Self-conscious Life in Hegel's Thought

Full programme

The course will address the Hegelian notion of self-consciousness and understand it by dealing with its practical aspects. In fact, self-consciousness is a practical form of life with relevant consequences both in the theoretical and in the ethical-political field.
