Learning objectives
At the end of the course the student will be expected to attain the following competencies:
* Understanding Agamben's political philosophy.
*Being able to elaborate the original structure of the political practice.
* Understanding and discussing the notion of bio-politics.
* being able to link the political practice to the founding structures of thinking like ontology, power, language, ethics, cooperation.

Course unit content
The archetypal structure of the political power and institutions in Giorgio Agamben's thought.
Full programme
On the occasion of the recent publication of the complete edition of Agamben's works dedicated to the Homo Sacer project, the course aims at illustrating the fundamental themes of this interesting political thought that borders on questions of legal philosophy, linguistics, philosophy of culture and aesthetics.
