Course unit content
"The Symphonies of Ludwig van Beethoven on his 250th Birth Anniversary: poetics and musical form"
The course will examine the poetics and musical form, both in its structure and perceptions. Double reading: narrative, through the text of Giorgio Pestelli, and technique, thanks to the study of one of the most significant musical analist of the twentieth century, Sir Donald Tovey. He dedicated much of his work to a didactic analysis and he was the pioneer of an analysis dedicated to students with non-specific
musical knowledge. He devoted a lot of time to the study of the most important classics, in particular to the works of Beethoven.
