Learning objectives
The course of nursing and midwifery sciences is part of the Integrated Course of " Surgical and Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences of Obstetric Obstetric Interest gynecological and obstetric sciences"
The aim of the course is to enable the student to know and understand the complexity of an operating sector, the importance of operator behaviour, surgical techniques, instrumentation and anesthesiological techniques, including for the purpose of enable the student the ability to use the knowledge and understanding gained to prevent risks to patients and practitioners, to ensure proper care to the gynecologist surgeon and anesthesiologist during interventions and provide adequate assistance to the work and work, as well as to collaborate in risk management.
The aim of the course is to make known and understand the human reproductive physiopathology trought epidemiology,the study of the causes and the main techniques of medically assisted procreation. Current legislation; first and second level PMA techniques; the problems of the infertile couple; the risks associated with the procedures; cryopreservation of gametes in cancer patients.

The Operating Block: authorization and accreditation; structural, plant, technological, organizational requirements. Law 626 and Dlgs 81/08 application in health facilities; The microclimate in the operating room. Systems of hemostasis and tissue dieresis: nods of electrosurgery and ultrasound surgery, hemostatic principals: Operating bed and patient positioning. Endoscopic Equipment: Monitor,Camera Control Unit (Optical System), Light Source, Light Cable, Co2 Insufflation Tube, Morcellator, Image Storage. Diagnostic hysterics, Bettocchi, resettoscopic.
Anesthesia: historical nods, main purposes of anesthesia, components and types of anesthesia. General anesthesia, loco – regional; choice of type of anesthesia; anaesthesiological risk assessment;
Surgical path: Periopertaorio, pre-intra-intra-postoperative; medical record, intestinal preparation, preoperative shower, antibiotic prophylaxis, tricotomy, drug therapy; The Surgical Safety Check List (SSCL); postoperative reception and monitoring.
Caesarean section: elective, urgent, emerging caesarean section; Lucas' code/color classification; directions to caesarean section; surgical technique and anesthesia.
Hysterectomy: Surgical Times
Postpartum hemorrhage: definition, epidemiology, etiology, risk factors and their recognition; management epp: communication, resuscitation and monitoring, cause research, treatment; blood loss estimate; obstetric shock index; pharmacological means, physical means, B-Lynch, embolization.
Clinical risks: definition; risk, danger, almost event, event, accident, error, sentinel event; patient safety, risk management, incident reporting.
