Learning objectives

The goal of the course is to provide the student whit specific knowledge about the contents covered.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to apply the received knowledge within the territorial and hospital internship

Form two: Midwife Pregnancy Support: documents and guidelines, goals, appropriate assistance and the care templar assistance model. The contents of the first interview and the controls. Pregnancy schedule. The medical history. Prenatal diagnosis. Lifestyles. Risk assessment. The care plan. The midwife means (pregnancy listen and activation, observation, report, support, health signs valuation, test valuation of blood pressure/urine/ultrasound examination, PA, BCF, MAF, weight, vaginal visit, SF, manovre Leopol, ultrasound therapy, problem solving, shared protocols, guidelines, teamwork, ongoing training). Fetal Wellbeing. How to recognize the signs of the disease early. Tips and remedies in major disturbances. Physical, emotional and behavioral changes in pregnancy. The increasing and decreasing. Metabolic, hormonal and neurovegetative changes. Clinical signs of good hormonal production and good placental function. Adaptation processes. Endogenous resources. The pillars of pregnancy health. The emotional experience of pregnancy: what the midwife can concretely do to support the woman and the couple.
Functions and operating activities of the family counseling "Consultorio Familiare", relating to new health needs, considering the social and demographic changes and the multiehtnic and multicultural realities where the Consultorio is called to act.

Assessment methods and criteria

The student's knowledge, topics'comprehensions and her/his skill to apply therm on the occupational contexts will be evaluated by questions on the topics related to the course content.
Failed answer to one or more questions or proved insufficiency of the basic knowledge on the subject will preclude the succesfull completion of the exam. In case of completion of the exam , an evaluation that contributes to the final grade of the course will be defined and it will be based on the achievement of the objectives.
