Learning objectives
For the "Curricular Thesis", the score proposed by the supervisor to the Commission for graduation exams, can not exceed three points, which are added to the arithmetic average of the profit exams, or, if it is a student matriculated starting from academic year 2017/2018, at the weighted average of the profit exams. For the "Research Thesis", the score, proposed by the supervisor to the Commission for graduation exams, can not exceed, as a rule, seven points, which are added to the average of the profit exams, or, if it is a student enrolled starting from academic year 2017/2018, eight points, which are added to the weighted average of the profit exams. The student, who achieves the degree by the fifth academic year, we will see recognized a point to add to the final evaluation. The student, if matriculated starting from the academic year 2017/2018, to which they have been recognized at least 6 credits earned abroad, in the context of one of the the internationalization programs of the Department will be attributed an additional point.

Course unit content
For the attainment of the Master's Degree in Law, the preparation and presentation of one is necessary thesis elaborated in an original way under the guidance of a supervisor, possibly also in the context of a study experience carried out abroad, in a discipline, in relation to which the Candidate has supported the related profit examination.
The final exam of the Master's Degree in Law can consist:
a) in writing a written thesis and in his discussion before the graduation exams Commission, with the attainment of twenty one CFU; or
b) in writing a written thesis and in his discussion before the graduation exams Commission, with the attainment of fifteen CFU, after completing an internship in Italy or abroad, previously approved by the Master's Degree Course Council, for the attainment of six CFU; or
c) in writing a written thesis and in his discussion before the graduation exams Commission, with the attainment of fifteen credits, after passing a profit test (congruence with the study plan), in addition to the curricular ones, with the achievement of 6 CFU.

Assessment methods and criteria
The Commission for the degree exams is nominated by the Director of the Department.
The degree exams are public.
At the end of the presentation, the Commission discusses and decides the final vote. In assigning the score, the Commission must provide for the evaluation:
- global votes, and praise, obtained in the examinations of curricular profit;
- the timing of studies and any other activities relevant;
- of the written work, on which the discussion is concerned before the Commission;
- of the argumentative and expositive capacity, also with reference to questions asked by the Commission, other than the supervisor.
The Commission can deliberate, unanimously, the attribution of the praise, in the only cases in which: the curricular career of the student present the achievement of more praise, especially in the examinations of profit related to fundamental teachings; the degree thesis presents a high degree of accuracy in processing and results achieved; the discussion before the Commission for graduation has demonstrated the student's high argumentative and expositive skills, also with reference to the queries raised by the Members of the Commission other than the supervisor.

At least three graduation sessions per academic year are established.
