medieval literature, above all in its connections with classical literature

After a brief Introduction about the 'matière antique' in Old french Literature of the
XII century, the course's aim is to study, through selected , translated and
commented texts, the Roman d'Eneas, based on Virgil's epic text but also deppely rooted in contemporary romance trends
