Learning objectives

At the end of the course, students will have gained an understanding of the fundamental principles of management and business administration. In particular, they will have a complete view of the problems of management of business activities with reference to:

Course unit content

The course aims to provide tools of strategic and operational management to analyze and understand the competitive mechanisms, formulate strategies and manage business processes. The features developed will refer to the best practices in the design and management of business processes of industrial and service companies.
The first section of the course focuses on the concept of “company” and on the analysis of the competitive environment. In the second part business functions and the characteristics of management models are analised. The third section focuses on the presentation of the main tools of business management and on the strategies of business development.

Teaching methods
