Double degree

The university, on the basis of special agreements with foreign universities within the framework of internationalisation projects, offers international education courses that allow the acquisition of a double degree.

Double, multiple or joint degrees are study courses organised with foreign universities that provide for forms of curriculum integration and structured student mobility schemes, with mutual recognition of educational activities.

The double degree is in fact an integrated study programme that allows students to spend part of their university career abroad at a partner university under an agreement, obtaining, at the end of the course, both the Italian and the foreign degree and guaranteeing recognition of the degree in both countries.

The main features distinguishing double, multiple or joint degree programmes are the following:

  • mobility: the student attends part of his or her career at the University of Parma and part at the foreign universities involved;
  • full recognition of the activities carried out abroad
  • at the end of the course, a double degree (one from the University of Parma and one from the foreign partner university) or a multiple degree (one from the University of Parma and at least two others from foreign partner universities) or joint degree (a single degree awarded by the University and at least one partner university).

Double/multiple degree programmes are unique opportunities that offer the student the valuable advantage of benefiting academically, professionally and culturally from different contexts and of acquiring transversal skills: a specific added value that generates an international profile ready to face global challenges.

Two double degrees will be awarded for the Economics and Management degree course: with Grenoble Ecole de Management - France and with Bochum University of Applied Sciences - Germany.

Double title with Grenoble Ecole de Management - France

Double degree between the Bahcelor of International Business at the Ecole de Management (Grenoble, France) and the Bachelor of Economics and Management (CLEM).

The agreement provides for an integrated study programme involving alternating study periods at the partner institutions for male and female students. The maximum number of students selected to participate in the programme each year is 3 for the undergraduate track and 7 for the master's track. To be admitted to the programme, UNIPR students must be duly enrolled in a CLEM degree course. The duration of the study period abroad at the partner institution is agreed to be one year. Students participating in the programme must take part in the training activities set out in the approved curriculum. During their study period, they must successfully complete a minimum of 60 credits (ECTS for the EU) and no more than half of the total number of credits required for the completion of their degree course.
At the end of the programme, students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded a degree certificate and a diploma supplement from the University of Parma and the Ecole de Management - Grenoble France.
