Learning objectives

The course aims to learn the characteristics of individual sports, highlighting aspects of performance of the same. At the end of the course students should be able to learn about the various teaching progression of specific gestures, as well as being able to identify the various models of perfromance.

Course unit content

Sports performance and sports situation: definition and characteristics.
Goodwill and specialization in individual sports.
The models of performance in individual sports.
Classification of types of force.
Evaluation methods for resistance and strength.

Teaching, regulations and design methodology of the following sports:
Swimming: arbitrage and penalties, crawl dorsal and ventral, frog, dolphin, individual races with mixed styles, synchronized swimming relay.
Martial arts: Judo, karate
Gymnastics: male and female tools, regulations, scores and referees, rhythmic gymnastics
Athletics: speed races, relay races, obstacle courses, middle-distance races, race or background of resistance, the jumps, flips, multiple tests
Weightlifting competition field and tools, specialty, Regulation and score.

In particular the following topics will be reviewed in depth:
- Definition of individual sport
- Pedagogy of the individual sport
- Didactic principles and methodological issues related to the specificity 'of individual sports
- Posture and sport
- Technical analysis
- Educational principles and methodology
- Notes on training
- Notes on the management of a sports center

Teaching methods

Lectures will be conducted with the use of oral presentations with presentation of slides and interactive involvement of the student according to the schedule defined at the beginning of academic year, as well as fieldwork

Assessment methods and criteria

The evaluation of the degree of preparation of the student will be with oral exams and focus on the content of the topics defined by the educational program
