The University of Parma promotes curricular internships in order to facilitate professional choices through direct knowledge of the world of work and the realisation of moments of alternation between study and work.
The curricular internship integrates and completes the student's training pathway through the performance of practical activities which, on the basis of the provisions of the Degree Course Regulations, may be carried out in structures within the University or externally at qualified public and private bodies with which the University has entered into appropriate agreements.
The internship involves three parties: the student, the promoter (the University of Parma) and the host (company or organisation) where the activity is carried out under the guidance of a student tutor, a university tutor and a company supervisor.
Curricular internships are not a prerequisite for an employment relationship between the intern and the host structure, nor can they be a substitute for company labour or professional services.

- The company must make a request to be registered and accredited on the University of Parma website, choosing the ACCREDITATION REQUEST item in the COMPANY AREA section ( and follow the procedure to activate an agreement (ANNEX C, PAGES 3-6).
- It is emphasised that 15 days are required from receipt of the application for the activation of a new agreement.

Once confirmation of the activation of the agreement has been received from the University of Parma, the company can activate an internship with a known student, or enter internship opportunities. To activate an internship with a specific student, choose the entry: BEGIN AN INTERNSHIP WITH A KNOWN STUDENT in the section Internships and Traineeships. In the description of the TRAINING PROJECT, the Company must indicate that all activities will be carried out in compliance with an organisation of spaces and work such as to reduce the risk of proximity and aggregation as much as possible, adopting organisational measures of prevention and protection aimed at containing contagion (in compliance with the Prime Ministerial Decree of 11 June 2020 and subsequent amendments and additions). The student must accept (on ESSE3) the Company's internship proposal, indicate the correct University Tutor and MUST OBTAIN the following documentation, otherwise the internship will not be activated: COPY OF THE CERTIFICATION OF MEMBERSHIP to CONI, or CSI, or CIP, or FIN of Emilia Romagna or UISP in Italy valid. SELF-CERTIFICATION OF FITNESS of the structure (ANNEX B COVID ver. 01042021) duly completed and signed.

The student will start the internship only after obtaining approval of the training project by the university tutor. When choosing the period of the internship, it is advisable to consider that it will take at least 15 days to obtain the tutor's approval.
REGISTRATION AT THE EXAMINATION SESSION At the end of the internship, the student must enter the diary and the company tutor's opinion "STAMPED AND SIGNED by the company tutor" (Annex G) in his or her ESSE3 page in order to obtain validation of the internship period.
