Learning objectives

Understanding of theoretical foundations and methods of investigation of human geography.
Acquisition of the main tools for interpretation of Italian landscapes, for their conservation and management.

Prerequisites

Student must have achieved a sufficient historical and geographical training in the previous curriculum

Course unit content

The course aims to provide students with the fundamental knowledge of Human Geography: nodal concepts, sources, methods of investigation. The second part of the course will be dedicated to the critical issue of the landscape from an historical, social and prescriptive point of view.
