Learning objectives

The course propose to furnish the knowledge of the human organization in its morphologic and physiological components with particular close examination to the topographical anatomy and microstructure of male and female reproductive systems.

Course unit content

General features of the organization of human body. Skeletal system and muscles of axial and appendicular components,with particular reference to the skeletal pelvis,sacroiliac joint,pubic symphysis and pelvic muscles. Cardiovascular and lymphatic system:general features of heart,systemic and pulmonary circulation.Microstructure of secondary lymphoid organs. Alimentary system:structure and microstructure of stomach,small intestine and large intestine,liver and pancreas. Respiratory system:structure of the upper and lower respiratory tract,lungs and pleurae. Urinary system:general features of kidney,uretere and urinary bladder. Endocrine system:topographic and microstructural features of hypophysis,tyroid, suprarenal glands. Nervous system:general features of central nervous system. Peripheral nervous system:lumbar and sacral plexus and nerve supply of pelvic organs. Reproductive organs of the female:ovaries,microstructure of the ovary uterine tubes.Uterus:di vision of the uterus.Age-related changes in uterine structure.Microstructure of the uterus:Uterine ligaments.Vagina:microstructure.Female external genital organs. Anatomy of pregnancy and parturition. Reproductive organs of the male:microstructure of the testis. Surface anatomy:the hypogastrium and perineum.
