critical essay or review for publication in a literary magazine. As such,
part of the course is devoted to the teaching of writing such essays

Teaching methods
The teaching of Italian Literary Criticism consists of frontal lessons, lectures and written homework.
The final assessment is out of thirty and will take into account not only
the oral examination, but also the evaluation of the essay written by the
students, previously corrected and discussed in the oral examination.
