To develop and utilise knowledge and expertise of trends and developments within the context of digital publishing
To facilitate students to undertake independent study in an appropriate area of interest within the digital environment
To enable students to prepare a full literature review in the selected area of research of a potential dissertation topic.

Course unit content
The course introduces theories and methodologies for the creation, organization, dissemination and access to digital resources, analyzing the reference models, encodings, applications, and popular standards. The course will be accompanied by workshops on the technologies of text and interdisciplinary seminars on Digital Humanities.

Teaching methods
Course held in blended learning (distance and presence). The lessons are combined with participation in study groups, research work done by students and seminars of professionals in digital publishing.
Assessment methods and criteria
The Assessment is made with written examinations conducted online and an oral exam in presence.
