Learning objectives

Students will gain advanced knowledges of the Latin Literature of medieval and humanistic age and the necessary tools to the reading and the interpretation of the authors.

Course unit content

The course is structured as follows: to) organization of the medieval and humanistic Latin Literature; b) illustration of the theater in the medieval age; c) analysis of the elegiac comedy; d) close examination of the comedy the De lombardo et snail (stylistic - rhetorical-philological exegesis).
