Learning objectives
The goal is to acquaint students with the main concepts of legal and medical-legal professional activities related to nursing and midwifery, as well as provide the educational foundation useful to be able to properly manage, on the themes of the module, the usual practices, as well as to identify any critical issues, with ability to address them and correct them.

The lecture series provides basic knowledge about the medico-legal aspects of nursing and midwifery professions, including patient's consent to treatment, health professional liability and clinical risk managemement.

The teaching is done with lecturing including interactive teaching (presentation of a real case).
Assessment methods and criteria
The learning and the degree of preparation is checked by oral examination regarding the topics covered in class. The student must demonstrate that they have acquired adequate knowledge and skills to discuss, analytically, and medical-legal issues related to the legal profession.
