FOUNDATIONS AND METHODS OF INTERVENTION PSYCHOLOGICAL
Course unit content
During the course some of the main models of clinical intervention of dynamic orientation will be presented. The course will start from the Freudian model that is the matrix of all subsequent variations and extensions of the method of psychoanalytic intervention. It will then move on to the classic models of psychoanalytic intervention for individuals (Kleinian, Winnicottian, Bionian and field) and groups (psychoanalysis in groups, in groups and through groups). The main features of psychodynamic psychotherapy with adolescents will be presented. Finally, the last part of the course will focus on three models of evidence-based psychotherapy: transference focused psychotherapy (TFP), mentalization-based treatment (MBT), and control mastery theory (CMT).

Teaching methods
In order to encourage the acquisition of the ability to apply this knowledge in professional practice, independent judgment and communication skills, the course will include frontal lessons, group work, vision and analysis of videos, seminars with professional psychologists working in
different contexts.
Lectures will be held on-site in compliance with safety standards, provided that further instructions on the ongoing health emergency are not implemented. Supporting material will be available on the specific, student-reserved platform (Elly) and will include slide presentations, audio-video aids or video-recording of the lectures.
Assessment methods and criteria
The examination will include a compulsory written test and an optional oral test. The written test will last 30 minutes and will include 31 closed-ended questions (5 answer options). These questions will make it possible to assess not only the knowledge and skills acquired, but also the autonomy of judgment, the ability to revise critically and apply the skills to professional practice. Each correct answer corresponds to one point. The overall score is calculated as the sum of the of the individual answers and is expressed in thirtieths (31/30 = 30 and Honors). The optional oral test may improve or decrease the written grade.
