Learning objectives
Provide a methodological and cognitive framework useful for addressing the assessment of dangers and consequent risks in the world of work in general and in that of chemical laboratories in particular both on the basis of good technique and existing legislation
Prerequisites
Solid foundation in chemical disciplines. Each student must have complied with the obligation of training on safety in the workplace as established by Legislative Decree 81/08
Course unit content
Critical reading of the chemical aspects contained in D.Lgs 152/06 and s.m.i., D.Lgs 81/09 and s.m.i., and D.Lgs 105/15
Full programme
Recalls on classification, labeling and packaging (CLP) of chemical agents, flammability limits, fire extinguishers, explosive mixtures, criteria of incompatibility between chemical agents, management of peroxidizable compounds, reactions at temperature and pressure other than ambient ones. Threshold limit values, carcinogens and their correct management. Organization of the reagentary. General criteria for the downgrading of hazardous waste and remediation actions. Critical reading of the chemical aspects contained in Legislative Decree 152/06 and subsequent amendments, of Legislative Decree 81/08 and subsequent amendments Legislative Decree 105/15. Operational models for chemical risk assessment.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam consisting of 20 closed-ended questions; 1.5 points are awarded to each correct answer, while -0.5 points are awarded for each wrong answer.
